Unconfirmed internet reports say that Evanston, Wyoming Prep Basketball Star, Jaycee Carroll has signed a letter of intent to play Basketball for the Aggies. According to sources, Jaycee will serve a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints before ever stepping the court at Utah State. Jaycee is well considered the best prep ball player in the State of Wyoming this year.
It has been well known among UstateAgs.com faithful that USU Basketball Coach, Stew Morrill, was interested in Jaycee. Further unconfirmed reports say that Jaycee was also being recruited by the University of Wyoming, and the University of Southern Utah. Sources say that Wyoming had offered Jaycee the same “deal” as Utah State. That deal is the understanding that Jaycee would serve and LDS Church mission for two years, then return and be guaranteed a scholarship and a spot on the team. This was apparently the same offer from Utah State University.
Further unconfirmed reports say that Jaycee was impressed with Coach Morrill and the Aggie Basketball program, as well as the City of Logan. More information will be forthcoming with the official announcement from Utah State University.
