Utah State's Home winning streak, the country's third-longest, ended late Thursday night along with a cable-TV dominance over the past half decade.
UC Irvine's NBA bound Jerry Green, hit a 10-foot shot as time expired, giving the Ant Eaters a 67-66 victory in Big West Conference basketball at the Spectrum. The basket heard around the (Cache) Valley, was procceded by a three pointer by Ross to put USU up 66-65 with 4.8 seconds left to play. USU put no pressure on Green as the ball was inbounded, and Green took it all the way down for the shot with no time left on the clock.
Next up for the Aggies is Long Beach State on Saturday. The Aggies beat the 49's in the Spectrum last year with ease. The Aggies then will go on the road for three games before returning to the Spectrum on Jan. 31 to play upset minded UC Santa Barbara. We get a chance at revenge when we visit UC Irvine on Feb. 9.
